My name is Jake R. Wiese and I hail from the coastal town of Coquille, Oregon. Ever since I can remember, golf has been my true love. My dad introduced the game to me at a very young age. I captained my golf team in high school and continued the trend through college. In 1999 I moved to Southern California to attend the San Diego Golf Academy. Upon graduation, I secured my first job at Torrey Pines Golf Course (La Jolla, CA) as an Assistant Professional. After four years I was hired at Marine Memorial Golf Course (Camp Pendleton, CA) as the First Assistant Professional. While there, I was able to attain my PGA membership. Following my three year tenure, I was hired at Morgan Run Club and Resort (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) as the Head Professional. During this time I determined that my niche in the industry was teaching. I feel I relate with people and I am able to reach them with proper communicatioin. Because of this, I have made the move to the Carlsbad Golf Center to become a full time teacher. I thrive on watching people improve. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on a students' face when they finish a lesson with the excitement to practice. That is the reason why teachers do what they do!
